I try to reconcile the values of the 60s (spiritual growth, vegetarianism, back to nature etc) with the realities of the New Millennium (great career, no debt, investment portfolio etc). I am a voracious reader and intellectual omnivore. I have a technical degree and am slowly pursuing a liberal arts degree. I am extremely open minded about everything except closed mindedness. I am quite and introverted but not pathologically so. I love nature and travel. A free weekend is enough reason for me to hit the road. I usually end up in the mountains on 3-day weekends. If I have 4 or more days I start looking for internet airfare deals. The more time I have the further I go. This summer I am going to tour the National Parks System. I think time away from home makes me appreciate home more. I can be easily atisfied by an evening of cooking and a video. I believe the greatest hallenge in life is creating a life that you want to live. Long range goals are important (I'm on year 5 of a 15-year goal), but the quality of the experience of everyday life is just as important.
