I'm one of those gals who still tends to believe in the cinderella story... call me a traditionalist, but I want to be swept off my feet. Don't we all? [laughing] I know that is the *least* rational way to approach dating in this century, so I'm compromising by posting here. I don't have much practice in advertising myself, but here's what I've been told: I'm smart. Quirky. Independent, maybe bordering on stubbornly so. Open-minded. I work hard, and I care very much about what I do. Unusual. Cute in a 'hunh, I never noticed she was cute before' sort of way. I will kick your butt at Scrabble. I'm up-to-speed on what's going on in the world, even though sometimes I wish I wasn't... anyhow, I can hold my own in most good-spirited political arguments. That said, I'm a bit geeky and a little shy when I'm around new people. Parents usually like me; so do co-workers, and I'd lay odds that even the friends who keep trying to set you up would approve. As for you - frankly, I don't *know* who you are, so I'm not even going to guess... much. I'd like to meet someone who could both keep up with me and help me to slow down sometimes. It would be great if you wanted to join me in some travel... lately I've been thinking that there's a lot more in this world I'd like to see while it's still there to see.
