Looking for a new artist or band to listen to. What are your favorites?
Derek Trucks, he is the nephew of Butch Trucks, one of the drummers of The Allman Brothers Band. He toured with Eric Clapton several years ago and they played the "Derek and the Dominoes" catalog. Derek is great on slide and played all the Duane Allman licks. He is currently on tour with his own band (Derek Truck's Band) and I know is at the Granada Theatre in Dallas on Greenville Ave. Mar 5th, It is a general admission venue and an old "stage play" site. All good seats. He is also married to Susan Tedeschi, who I had the privilage of seeing with The Allman Brothers Band before they threw Dicky Betts out for drug use.(go figure) Enjoy and ROCK ON!
I have recently seen (in the last 2 months)the following in concert. Black Stone Cherry, Theory of a Deadman, Hinder, The Bullet Boys, Halestorm (twice, they rock! check out Revolver Mag june 09 Issue), Popa Roach, Buckcherry, and Avenge 7 fold. I am currently awaiting the announcement of the next big Metal band to come to the Alltel Center in Mankato... Can't wait to see who it is.
