I am looking for new pen-pals who are quick witted, sarcastically funny, down to earth, honest (a refreshing change, especially online), who have many varied hobbies & interest in life, who would like to talk about ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!! I am a married female who was under the impression that when you have a best friend, that you are allowed to freely discuss all topics of interest. BEFORE I got married, I was under the impression that my husband was going to be my best friend ( Because he said so and said we would talk about everything, at all hours of the day or night, and that we would NEEEEVVVVVEEERRR have any secrets because that is what best friends do, and ESPECIALLY when you are married!!)whom I could share all kinds of things with. Immediately AFTER the words "I DO" were pronounced, I very quickly learned that I am NOT ALLOWED to share ANYTHING PERSONAL, OR ANY OF MY DREAMS, THOUGHTS OR TALK AT ALL ABOUT MY PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE IDEAS OR FEELINGS because my other half quickly pointed out that he is my Husband and not my "girlfriend" and that all of the stuff in my brilliant mind is only for me to either keep to myself or tell it to a girl who likes to listen to all of that "crap" because he is not interested at all in anything I have to say unless I am telling him a joke and keeping him laughing or doing something for HIM that he wants or needs. So,my next statement to him was: I was unaware that I married a MUSLIM instead of the Christian husband I had just married. He just told me to shut up and remember not to speak at all to him for at least 1 and 1/2 hours in the morning when we first get up as he needs this extreme quiet time to "adjust, wake up after 2 pots of coffee, reading the newspaper, all the while this so called "QUIET TIME TO ADJUST", he has the T.V. BLASTING SO LOUD THAT THE NEIGHBORS 7 HOUSES DOWN CAN HEAR IT! Of course I could not help myself from saying " EXCUSE MEEEEEE!!!!, BUT DO YOU THINK YOU CAN TURN THE T.V. UP A LITTLE, BECAUSE I DO NOT THINK THEY CAN HEAR IT IN NEW YORK CITY!!! (B.T.W... we reside in Florida). So very long story short, I am pulling my hair out, biting my long nails and would really welcome a friend whom I could actually TALK TO!
