Today's temp in Rye Beach.......38! 3 days after the start of Spring.

The temps were good for the last party, just the Ocean was still "cool". Many blue swimmers as I recall.

We'd love to be there if we can work out babysitting.. of course that's providing I can bear to leave the little one home.

Freezen....I dont know about the Atlantic in New England but at the Jersey Shore...Sept is the best month to be at the shore. The water is the warmest and the kids are all back to school....its when all the grown ups take over down there. You dont even need clothes at nite to swim there....hehe

Jump, what was the name of that Airlines I used that you suggested? that services the Northeast corridor? That was the best tip I have gotten on the net. The Trenton Airport isnt crowded...you can park almost at the terminal or within 100 yds of the door and its the only carrier out of there.

Just a little input on a great nude beach. I just spent a few days at what I consider the last best nude beach in the USA = South Padre Island, TX. When the pavement dead-ends just drive north on the sand at water's edge as far as you want, up to 35 miles! It's pristine! No houses, unending sand dunes, shore birds, and lots of warm weather and sunshine. (It will be close to 100 there this fine April day!!!) But.....be sure to take a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We got stuck in the soft sand our last day there. My hubby and I were on the way in and still dressed and several 4x4's passed us by without stopping. But right after I (not quite in desperation) put on my all-over tan and a big smile the very next guy driving a 4x4 stopped, pulled us out and even stayed for a cold beer! Good thing he stopped too, because the tide was starting to come in and we didn't see another vehicle for a long time.

I'd suggest the weekend after labor day. Friday 9/5 - Sun. 9/7 or the following weekend.

Fighting labor day traffic could be a real pain.

Higher room rates in affect for holiday weekend too.

OK Labor day weekend is over. it's the first weekend of Sept. Has a calendar date been set for this shindig? New job is going well and I might be able to get the time off, but I gotta know ASAP.
