Interesting thread, Melissa. My anti-spam software must work too well because I rarely get junk email anymore. But I wound up joining a website that otherwise I wouldn't have joined because someone text-messaged my cell number. This woman who only gave her ID as SheWolf-something said she recognized me from a site she found online and claimed got my number from a friend in order to contact me. She invited me to look her up on this particular website that she belonged to and assured me that after I looked up her SheWolf profile, then I would identify her immmediately. So I joined and... naturally, there was no such SheWolf profile at all, it was just a scam. I should have figured out, well, if she had my number, why not just call me? Pretty inventive, though. But just what I need, another profile on another dating website.
