Rice Crispies. Yes Crane with sugar... then when I was older: Capt Crunch!

What I loved was Coco Crispies or Coco Puffs, anything with chocolate in it. What I usually got was oatmeal or this hideous porridge with corn meal in it. What was worst about that porridge were the lumps-- I swear they had negative flavor, anything else that you were eating at the time had all the flavor absorbed by those nasty pasty lumps. There wasn't enough sugar in the house to make that stuff taste good. Once in a while, I could con my mom into appreciating the educational value of Alpha-Bits ("Look what I can spell! I can't do that with porridge, can I?" ) but not often enough.

Frosted Flakes with tons of sugar. You know parents would freak out today over the amount of sugar we used.

Mom would never buy sugar cereal, so rice crispies, however when I went to my cousins house the sugar fest was on. Capn Crunch and Apple Jacks and Trix. Was it just me or do you remember when eating Capn Crunch the roof of your mouth hurting?

Funny how you mentioned FrankenBerry, I think we enjoyed Boo Berry more. Always seems like every time we had that, half the box would be gone. Very addicting.

ditto Star's answer - Rice Krispies w/sugar was my fave (but not most frequent - we usually had Cheerios & added fruit like bananas).
