Ok peeps you sill have time, even though you missed out on yesterday. Here is how the game is played. 1 point for each correct pick. 1 bonus point if you pick all three in a given week. -1 point for being a bonehead and not getting any for a given week. if you miss a week, no -1 bonhead point, don't worry. First round of the playoffs up to the division champs games is double, champ games are triple , multiply by 4 for the superbowl. Looks like that Pats are out of that one. Final point total winner gets the title "Superior Soothsayer" for the 2008/2009 season. From here on in, I'll put up games on Wednesday. Even if you didn't start yet, you still have a good chance to be the SS, it's a long season. Where's Fish?

Browns fan charged with driving unlicensed couch:
Mike Meredith is charged with driving an unregistered couch to the Nov. 23 Cleveland Browns game.
The Plain Dealer says Meredith "and a couple of buddies converted a riding mower into a mobile couch in 2005 because 'I was wasting time walking around when I could be sitting here eating hot dogs and drinking beer.'"
Meredith pleaded not guilty to the charges. He's due in court tomorrow. "He has prepared a defense, walking the couch route and snapping pictures of every officer who waved him through," the Plain Dealer says.

I never liked Shanahan. He back stabbed the guy that hired him, Dan Reeves. Shanahan has 2 super bowls, Reeves none. I still think that Reeves was a better coach, and person. Did the Pats get jobbed? 11-5 record out of the playoffs. SD in at 8-8.

Lots of bitching going on right now about the NFL playoff system, and most rightly so. Mediocre team like 8-8 SD gets a spot, NE's better record (by far) is out in the cold. Look for change suggestions during the off-season.
(Someone needs to tally up the individual Mingler points standings. I'd do it but I'd probably screw it up.)

Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson has a detached tendon in his groin area that is so bad, doctors recommended that he have surgery this week, a league source said Saturday.
Tomlinsons mood was especially down all week, according to a team source, and this might help explain why he was so glum. Tomlinson knows he is not well as these playoffs are getting ready to kickoff.
(He is doubtful for Saturday night's game.)

Brett Favre has informed the New York Jets he is retiring, team sources have told FOXSports.com.
The Jets confirmed the news on their Web site late Wednesday morning.
(Good idea in my opinion. I love Favre but his time has come. )
