Some newcomers mentioned a reluctance to start threads here because some old-timers here would rebuke them for it.

Mingles is for everyone, new, old, and in-between. Everyone can have fun here.

1.) To get more people involved. Newcomers were stating a reluctance to start threads for concern over reprisal from old-timers.

2.) To illustrate that ANYONE can start threads about ANY topic.

3.) To illustrate that there is no 'seniority' here in Mingles, everyone can post equally, new, old, or in-between.

4.) Some old-time forum people decided to 'flood' individual threads with hundreds of the same post in an effort to make the thread unreadable. This action more than anything else is what initiated the new format.

5.) There is NO reason why the Mingles forum cannot have more threads, more people involved, and be more FUN for all people.

6.) To undermine the perceived 'rule' of some old-time Mingles people who feel it is their duty to accuse newcomers of being 'fakes', berate newcomers, and attempt to run the forum with their selection of 'serious' discussions.

EVERYONE: ask YOURSELF... who are YOU to decide what should and should not be posted here? Everyone should decide for themselves.

Don't oppose change just because it is a change from what YOU like.

The forums will become FUN for ALL, not for just a core group.

The forums are slowly attracting newcomers. It IS working.

the fact that mingles won't do forum housekeeping and that the forums are becoming so clogged with thousands of posts more than a year old that it's starting to grind to a halt?

mingles doesn't care and never has.... the forums have nothing to do with it's revenue because they don't "increase site traffic" as someone thinks

as mr.mingles has posted on more than one occasion - the forums are more trouble than they are worth....

and the person making a hundred threads a week with no one responding within them except someone's joke profile - just an indication that the thread-child is very very bored and lonely

he can "blame" others for his own actions, but they're still soley HIS actions

I'd like to ad some detail to Cristo's answer to you.

Tck is believed by some to have created a fake profile that was hanging out here. Because he's been caught lying in the past and has even admitted to it, few believed him when he denied the accusation.

He has in the past intentionally created false rumors about others; from accusing people of being a fake profile, to creating a false rumor that a certain couple had broken up and then trying to deride them for that, to stating that he knows someone's job status and deriding them for that (he of course knew nothing of it).

Well, when "what goes around" came around and bit him hard, none of his "friends" in here wanted anything more to do with him. So he threw his second temper tantrum this year and proclaimed that he is taking over the forums and changing the format, by burying every forum in here, everyday with bogus threads. He has also proclaimed that the forums now " are all about him".

He doesn't care about the history of this place and people like yourself that have been around since the beginning.

When he has trouble staying in control here, he goes to chat and grabs one of his buddies there to come in and help him by defending him.

This is an adult man, acting like a complete child with an emotional problem.

The only positive note is that he has completely exposed himself for what he is, with Over 40 people now having him on block.

New format here in Mingles, have fun....! The old-timers are pisssssssed! LOL.

I'll volunteer to 'police' that situation, lol. And my 'solution', which is working EXTREMELY well, is to put the message in the thread title, create threads, and encourage everyone to have FUN....!!!

(Also note - Cimm, Cristo, Swamp, Hunter, Kee, etc. wouldn't play along and participate if they weren't having FUN, they love their favorite subject: MEEEE. Everyone is doing what they want to do.)

What's happening with the boards and the latest "war" in here, isn't about the "newbies". The newbies have always been welcome to come in here and post. I never had a problem in here when I first came.. Maybe toyman gave people a hard time, because he thought that he owned the place.. but he's been reduced to not more than a harmless troll for a few years now.

It's been tck from the moment he found the boards, that has created the problems in here; chasing away a number of new as well as existing members with his sexual harassment and trashing of their posts or threads.

Over the years there have been numerous complaint threads on him.

Occasionally a knuckle head comes in and tries to tell everyone what to do or how to act without knowing anything about this place and they get slammed, but for the most part it's been tck chasing people away for the last 6 years.

If finally came to a head w/ a thread that SpunkyAnna created, titled "The Forums", where tck tried to trash that and everyone just came down on him.

Tck then tried to slander people here and then created a fake "apology thread" claiming to apologize while blaming everyone else for his actions.

This latest episode, where he is filling up the forum title boards is done with the intent to make it hard for people to find threads. He's even bragged about how he's doing pretty well "turning this place upside down". So, some of us tried filling his threads up with multiple posts and of course he doesn't like that done to him.. but it's okay for him to make it hard on everyone here..

The nicest people here have pointed out to him how wrong it is and he won't stop, because as he has always show, he only cares about himself.

Over 30 people have put him on block. He's accused people of creating multiple profiles to block him. So now he's spending his time creating numerous fake profiles to use to put certain people that have stood up to him and made him look foolish, on block (he hates being alone, lol). Take a look at the Captain's profile. He's one of the nicest people on here. He has 11 blocks on him. The only person who has a problem with him is Tck. And the only person with the time to that is tck.
