Don't think about it. Period. You're married, and what you're 'thinking' about doing is basically wanting to have your cake, and eat it too- you want the benefits of a stable relationship, at the same time you want to have the 'adventure' of a relationship outside of your marriage. You really should sit down, be honest with yourself, and decide if the marriage is worth saving- it would be a lot worse if the marriage was fine, and you just wanted a little bit of excitement in your life- if that's the case, divorce the poor woman and give her a chance to find someone decent to be with.

If you're unhappy enough that you want to - well shoot, why not be blunt, here - screw around, perhaps your wife isn't any happier than you are? In that case, get a divorce or separate if you're intent on acting on the thinking part.

Otherwise, get yourselves into a marriage counselor if the marriage is worth saving. Nothing worth having is going to come easy, and marriages are the same way.
