I thought it was funny as hell!
And I thought it was funny as hell that the shoe thrower received a broken arm, some broken ribs, a jail stay, and more, as a result of his actions.
The sheer ignorance and stupidity of some people is amazing, lol. Lots of people saying, "Yeah, good, someone pelt that Bush guy with shoes, he 'deserves' it...". But really - does anyone 'deserve' to be physically assaulted with any thrown object?
Once again - I think it is funny, but anyone who feels it is justified needs to see one of their relatives clocked in the head with a shoe or boot by someone who doesn't like them.

Don't wait...!
Set up a booth at your local mall, charge money for people to throw shoes at a life-sized cutout of Bush, lol.

Yeah, but he's gotta do that "duck" thing ... that's where all the fun is at! Cutout can't do that. I have to admit - he's pretty fast.

Hahaha!!! omg! There IS (I should say *ARE*) game(s) out there already! http://www.sockandawe.com/ , hehe That one even has the guy saying "Ayeree fee wij imaak" as the shoe is tossed, haha! At least I *THINK* that's what it sounds like ...

We should invent something to play called "FAIR GAME...!!!" where people pretend they are Secret Service agents, some dimwit throws an object at the president, and the pretend Secret Service agents get to beat the living shit out of the fool because he's fair game at that point.
(Or call the game "He Asked For It"... lol... in memory of that game show 'You Asked For It'.
)

The guy that threw the shoe is now claiming he was tortured and beaten into writing an apology letter.......his trial starts on the 31st. Under Saddam, the punishment would have been death.....just a tad radical in my book. If convicted in the trial, he can get two years imprisonment....even that's alot I think.

I'm thinking they would have cut off his feet actually.
People don't realize what the USA really truly saved the Iraqi's from in removing Saddam from power.

actually I think the shoe thrower realizes it.... he probably wouldnt have thrown his shoes under saddam hussein..... whats more hilarious is that even bush himself defended the guy for his act of protest.
im glad that the iraqis can feel comfortable enough to engage in such protests now... it shows that we made a difference there.

I thought the shoe tosser was very efficient in that he got off 2 tosses and started to walk away..where was security?
I have been a real critic of bush and i have to give him credit for getting out of the way of that 1st toss..lol

yeah you have just made a great difference, they used to be tortured and executed by sadam, and now they are tortured because of some shoe thrown at a politician or any other act.
what a freedom you have 'given' them! yeah!

The torture scenario is conjecture and not proven at this time.....I think this trial will be interesting......

Hitting someone with a shoe is a strong insult in Iraq. It means the person is as low as the dirt underneath the sole of a shoe, and the actions of Muntader al-Zaidi have made him the new hero of the arab world.
What a waste of a perfectly good pair of shoes!

You'd think the guy would have practiced his aim a bit more.
Watch for Iraqi ads for retired major league pitchers.

The whole thing appears to be a win-win-win situation.

The guy got to throw shoes without being executed.
The secret service got beat the f*ck out of the guy, breaking an arm and some ribs, before throwing his ass in an Iraqi jail cell.
Bush showed his physical prowess in dodging the shoes.
Every is/was happy, right? No losers there, lol.

The guys aim was remarkable! If you replay the video you will see the 1st shoe launched directly at the presidents head.If not for the athletic move on bushs part his dna would have been all over the sole of that shoe. The 2nd shoe was a feat known only to submarine style pitchers of major league fame, consider that in 1 smooth move this guy removed and fired his 2nd shoe which bush also had to duck...this iraqi could play for the yankees..

and talking of executing people in Iraq with dictator Sadam, we should not forget that people in the USA are still executed, some of them using an electric chair, and some of them are innocent.
cutting some head off with a sharpened, brilliant and majestic sword is quite better than those electric chairs where you must receive the light power of 10000 houses, lol

It was funny, but as well as dissing Bush, it insults our President and thus insults us. It also made our security look really bad, pointing out that they don't cover the media as closely as they should. What if the guy had a gun, or a hand grenade?
And on the throwers part it was a foolish thing for him to do, he's all busted up, and probably going to jail.

If the guy had a hand grenade, we wouldn't have seen such great video ... or, well - it would have been shorter. Anyway, you're right about the Secret Service. I mean ... I'll give them a pass on the 1st shoe. But Dude, the 2nd one? C'mon. The Iraqi President did better than SS ... I mean, they spend their whole lives ready to throw themselves in front of a bullet, and they miss a SHOE? haha! I'd hate to be on AF-1 on the way home from THAT trip! heheh!
Maybe in the training for new agents, they can incorporate the shoe-toss maneuver.

I recall someone asked Bush about the incident, and he said, "One thing I can tell you- they were size 10's"-lol.
Actually, the guy's aim was almost perfect- shoot, I can't hit the side of a barn, hahaha-

The shoe-thrower's life has become pure hell.
Not a moment's peace. Nobody supports him.
At last report he was seeking political asylum in Switzerland.
(But Switzerland doesn't want his dumb ass either, lol.)
His 15 seconds of non-fame is up... now a lifetime of regret for stupidity.

I support the shoe thrower. And Lisa, if we are fortunate, no one will desire to throw their shoes at Obama. Hopefully Obama won't offend as many nations as Bush has.

So... if someone disagrees with your views, it would be okay for them to throw shoes at you?
There are those who support the rape, torture, and stoning of women under certain circumstances too.
(I do NOT support the throwing of any harmful objects at anyone.)
I personally condemn ALL of these acts of violence in any form, but to each their own.

i think bush was the captain of the dodgeball team in school, btw fire, "ayeree fee wij imaak", is actually "airy feek wij omuk", witch meens "my c*ck f*ucks your mother", by exact translation, just thought that was important.

I was amazed at how fast he "reloaded" and got off the second throw. Before anyone could react LOL I would be on the floor had Bush caught the second one and threw it back. They need to let the poor dude alone now. Time served. G.W. should have pardoned him.

I'm waiting for someone to nail Hillary Clinton in the head with a steel toed boot and Frckld to say she supports that kind of attack because Hillary voted in favor of the Iraq War.
(But something tells me Frckld wouldn't support THAT shoe thrower. Double standard?)

exact translation:
arEE-MY C0CK (the "ee" sound on the end adds first person possesive, i.e. My)
fee-in
wij-face
omAK-YOUR mother (the AK on the end adds second person possesive i.e. YOUR mother)

What you DON'T seem to 'get' TiCK, is the obvious meaning of the shoe throwing which has been previously defined. It was the man's way of providing the ultimate insult to Bush, which yes, I do support. I'm sure Hillary has had her share of protesters 'throw' their best insults at her for her vote in support of the war in Iraq. And yes, I support those protests as well. WE, in the U.S., just don't use throwing shoes as a symbol to show our disgust. Give me a break. It's not like the shoe was going to actually hurt him even if it did connect.

Blackwater Security has been banned from Iraq for being 'too violent' in the war.
