honestly, cause i have been here for just over 10 years, made some friends and some enemies along the way. this site is just about the only social life i have. i know this is a dating site and i am married with children but again, the friends keep me coming back. that sometimes i just love a good argument.
now for the fun reason, to see how many people i can annoy and to keep asking women to see there boobs.

I come here to chat with all kinds of people from all over the world. And if they're lucky, i'll cook naked for them on cam. And if I'm lucky, the women will reciprocate.
ANd i talk about sex no more or less than most people ClearAsMud. Maybe if you were less repressed, and got some more often, you'd be less inclined to read all the posts by those people who chat/post a lot about sex. You're just living vicariously thru us. So just lighten up, loosen up and talk about it.
I mean we can go thru life being offended by just about anything. It IS a favorite thing for Christians to do. You now what i'm talking about (these are ACTUAL things/activities i've heard various christians say offends them), i'm offended by movies, alcohol, smoking, sex, the wrong kind of food, the wrong kind of people, profane language, euphemisms, role-playing games, soap operas, tv, using electricity on Sunday (which is not the Sabbath), meat, and any number of other things. Being a christian is not going into the world and trying to find things to be offended about. From what i understand, it's about IDENTIFYING with the people you are trying to reach. Best way to identify with them is to beat them over the head with everything they do (especially everything they do that you don't like)? Wrong (in my opinion).
I come to Mingles to MAKE friends, not alienate strangers.

To tell you the truth I really don't get offended by all that stuff you are talking about,But for the most part I just chose not to get invold with most of that stuff. I see alot of men and woman get out there and live it up when they get in there late 30's and up,thats after thier devorce, for some reason they feel like they missed some thing and want to make up for the lost time. when it come to that kinda life style I've had a belly full, and its old to me,ya I can talk with them best of them if I want ,but i really don't it any more. I stop by to visit with old friends and to see who's the up and coming OG's. Had alot of great times in mingles, have been to a couple of get togethers and met some minglers......it's kinda like your favorite bar with all that goes with that. Since I don't do bars any longer in my life style, I can do it all right here without the expense and headaches. A coffee shop with a view......lol

I haven't been around long, and I don't do too much minglin', but so far I have been greatly entertained by various posts. I have to say there are a lot of people on this site that seem to have a great sense of humor, and I appreciate that. Even when I don't post, I've gotten a chuckle more than once. I'm going to wait till spring to go fishing, though.
The idea of freezing in some ice shanty is just not too appealing to me.

HW, ice shanties have come a long, long ways. You only freeze when you get out to check tip-ups. So stay in, and have a beer. The hole cut in the ice is great for keeping beer cold!!
Cap, you should do some ice fishing on Higgins lake, just make dammed sure it's frozen over, and DON'T fall in.

Well I can't seem to get the hang of it here. How the hell do you get the hole saw to stop caking up with ice? I've gone through three battery charges already, and every time I drive the stakes in for the shanty those little plastic tent pegs break in half. Maybe I shouldn't have bought the beer first.

I can see the shanties being pretty pricey, and the IRS siezing them. I'd just borrow a friends.
I never had trouble with the hole drill caking up, I'll ask and see how that's handled. I used a gas powered drill, and as long as I kept a tight hold on it, all was well. I let it get away from me once....ouch.
Use metal stakes, I hate plastic ones too. A piece of rebar might be a good substitute. Make sure it's not going to catch a snowmobile ski. That might be bad...
Everything must be sturdy enough to handle the cold beer.
It's a riot!! On Higgins, you have a good chance of catching some really awesome fish.

After that, fresh caught grouper. I used to fillet them by the pickup truck load.
I don't drink hardly ever anymore *not even on the new year, this year.* but back in the day, I probably never caught a bass without a cold one nearby.

Because I just got our of a serious one year relationship. Meanwhile getting stuck to live with my brother and his wife in one of the assholes of Louisiana because I dont have anywhere else to go. And as I keep trying to get back into school I continuely get knocked back down on my ass. I no longer have a job or money for that matter and in between the hours I spend on World of Warcraft and watching tv I come to sites like these. In the hopes that I'll meet someone who will actualy make me feel like a person again instead of the uncontrolable rage of unwanted emotions I am today. :]

ive made so many friends, met quite a few, was made to feel comfortable the first day i came into chat, by becky and matt and so many others. there are so many fun, great, caring people on this site, i luv ya guys to death, group hugs and spanks!!!!

I've made some really cool friends up here, of which i hope to meet all of them someday...I've been here since mingles started, so just like the army, it's a 'volunteered commitment'...hahahaha

I come here for the chat folk. I really enjoy it, plus sometimes someone really really stupid comes in there, and we get to make fun of them... no one gets hurt, though, because they don't understand that we are making fun of them. It is fun times had by all!!!

Swamper, I didn't mean that we make fun of any regulars, unless it is kidding around, but I mean the "fake" people that come in.. and also the occasional dimwit.
I was being honest about it.. it IS fun, and IF people did make fun of me, I KNOW that all my mingles friends that I have would stand up for me no matter what.

Sometimes I go to video chat so I can try to look down Rose's shirt.
(And just for the record - when anyone makes fun of Rose she takes it like a champ and dishes it back out just fine.)
