Who feels that the USA is going to return to the ways of the past? What is going to bring back all of the industry and manufacturing, the government? Stimulus package 'give-away' programs? Paying union educators more money, benefits, and earlier retirement?
Foolishness and lies. People in this country need encouragement and places to WORK. Too many people get paid to NOT work. There's a reason for a 'lower class'... it's to scare most of us into working hard enough to stay above it.
We will transform, but there will not be any 'recovery'.
You heard it here first - transformation not recovery.

I am waiting for just one person to explain how sending all of America's manufacturing to china and the far east benefits America. Cheaper products? Now it doesn't matter any more. Because if no one is working in this country then they won't be able to buy anything cheap or not.
The stimulus plan is bogus. Tax breaks aren't helping anyone who is unemployed. It isn't creating any jobs.
Bring manufacturing back to our soil. That is where the jobs are at. Do it tomorrow. Tell every company they need to come back to America.
Give me one reason why I am wrong.
There are no reasons.

Let's give industry & manufacturing a REASON and INCENTIVE to bring the jobs back to the U.S.A.

To All My Valued Employees,
There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn't pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country.
However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interests.
First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there is a back story. This back story is often neglected and overshadowed by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside. You've seen my big home at last years Christmas party. I'm sure; all these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about my life.
However, what you don't see is the back story.
I started this company 28 years ago. At that time, I lived in a 300 square foot studio apartment for 3 years. My entire living apartment was converted into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a company, which by the way, would eventually employ you.
My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I spent went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a defective transmission. I didn't have time to date. Often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business -- hard work, discipline, and sacrifice.
Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made a modest $50K a year and spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom's for the latest hot fashion item, I was trolling through the Goodwill store extracting any clothing item that didn't look like it was birthed in the 70's. My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money, and my life into a business with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, will be able to afford these luxuries my friends supposedly had.
So, while you physically arrive at the office at 9am, mentally check in at about noon, and then leave at 5pm, I don't. There is no "off" button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have the freedom. I eat, and breathe this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. Every day this business is attached to my hip like a 1 year old special-needs child. You, of course, only see the fruits of that garden -- the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations... You never realize the back story and the sacrifices I've made.
Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right decisions and saved his money, have to bail-out all the people who didn't. The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for.
Yes, business ownership has is benefits but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds.
Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why:
I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I have state taxes. Federal taxes. Property taxes. Sales and use taxes. Payroll taxes. Workers compensation taxes. Unemployment taxes. Taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes. You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero. Nada. Zilch.
The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check? Obviously, government feels the latter is the economic stimulus of this country.
The fact is, if I deducted (Read: Stole) 50% of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? That's nuts. Who wants to get rewarded only 50% of their hard work? Well, I agree which is why your job is in jeopardy.
Here is what many of you don't understand ... to stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Had suddenly government mandated to me that I didn't need to pay taxes, guess what? Instead of depositing that $288,000 into the Washington black-hole, I would have spent it, hired more employees, and generated substantial economic growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. But you can forget it now.
When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don't defibrillate and shock his thumb thinking that will bring him back to life, do you? Or, do you defibrillate his heart? Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not kill it. Suddenly, the power brokers in Washington believe the poor of America are the essential drivers of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change you can keep.
So where am I going with all this?
It's quite simple.
If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, my reaction will be swift and simple. I fire you. I fire your co-workers. You can then plead with the government to pay for your mortgage, your SUV, and your child's future. Frankly, it isn't my problem any more.
Then, I will close this company down, move to another country, and retire. You see, I'm done. I'm done with a country that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, will be my citizenship.
If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steamrolled the constitution, and will have changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about....
Signed,
Your boss

Outsourcing....a company saving big bucks by going with "sweatshop labor", because it costs so much less to hire someone in...say, India, for far less than it would cost to hire an American, pay them a (relatively) decent wage, give them the opportunity to have insurance, etc.- bottom line is top dollar for the company doing the hiring- which, in a sense, is understandable- but at what cost to the overall economy? Well, of course, we're seeing that "cost" now, aren't we?
No, things are NOT ever going to be the same- and those who believe that it will are fooling themselves, and don't want to admit that, hey- the party is over! Years of living on credit cards, credit, and wayyyy beyond their means has made for a nation of spoiled people who think that the "American Dream" is their God-given right. The sad part is, so many don't have clue one as to how to back up, and re-adjust to the way things are now- it's sad, and scary, if you think about it- I don't know who is responsible for this quote, but it's so true, especially now- "He who owns little, is little owned"--- probably Nouriel Roubini, lol.

And that's where people are finding themselves, today- with the economy being the way it is, they have to step back, and think about what it is that's important- double-edged sword, if you ask me (which, I know, Tck- you didn't - LOL)-on the one hand, a much lower standard of living, and not having the things that so many people think are their right to have-and having to look at life from a different angle, and change their whole idea of what it takes to live a happy life-
Ok...coffee is DONE-lol

)I am a 'minimalist' myself. I have what I need to get by, all of the while confidently knowing that I can have pretty much whatever I 'want'.
I downsized a long, long time ago, made/saved a lot of money because of it, and never 'up-sized' again.
I'm even suggesting anyone else do that... but I am 'suggesting' that probably 90% of people are going to have to learn how to do that.

We will be reading/seeing more and more about home ownership plans, and ways to keep people in their homes. The government will go to ANY EXTREME to keep people in their homes.
Why?
(Because people someday eventually pay off their homes... but property taxes are FOREVER. The government's sole source of income is taxes. Always keep that in mind when you see any government program. Property taxes are going up, up, up... FOREVER.)

THIS IS THE BEST EXPLAINATION ON THE TAX SYSTEM EVER.... however... you do have to really follow closely.....
This is pretty good.
This is how the cookie crumbles. Please read it carefully.
Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every
day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they
paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh $7.
The eighth $12.
The ninth $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite
happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a
curve.
"Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce
the cost of your daily meal by $20."
So, now dinner for the ten only cost $80. The group still wanted to pay
their bill the way we pay our taxes.
So, the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free.
But what about the other six, the paying customers? How could they
divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share'?
The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they
subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the
sixth man would each end up being 'PAID' to eat their meal.
So, the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each
man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the
amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four
continued to eat for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men
began to compare their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20," declared the sixth man. He
pointed to the tenth man "but he got $10!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar,
too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than me!"
"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back
when I got only $2 ?! The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get
anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for dinner, so the nine sat
down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they
discovered something important.
They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists, college professors, Hillary and Nancy
is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the
most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being
wealthy, and they just may not show up at the table anymore. There are lots of
good restaurants in Europe and the Caribbean.

Are you saying that Obama knows that we as a nation, will not recover and that he is intentionally misleading the American public?

This is one transformation badly needed by our society in my opinion.
(I foresee changes of such magnitude in our society, overall, that very little will appear the same in my opinion. And that's not a bad thing.
)

This is a good start toward the 'transformation'.
States that simply cannot afford to pay state salaries should not pay state salaries.
'New' concept - if you don't have the money.... don't spend the money; promising to pay money you do not have at a later time isn't going to work either.

By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Makes a lot of sense to me, I wish we had more input over political actions.

Republican says the 8,500 earmarks represent business as usual in D.C.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29498373/

While Republican opposition in the House focused more on the bill's overall spending, McCain and allies turned the Senate spotlight squarely on earmarks.
"How does anyone justify some of these earmarks: $1.7 million for pig odor research in Iowa; $2 million 'for the promotion of astronomy' in Hawaii; $6.6 million for termite research in New Orleans; $2.1 million for the Center for Grape Genetics in New York," he said.

But does anyone win... except the politicians? Are the politicians secretly laughing hilariously because citizens applaud their political infighting while NOTHING is actually accomplished?
The best interests of this nation are ignored due to party line voting.
The downfall of our (formerly) great nation could very well be due to party politics.
Each side says, "We'll show those bastards..." and the citizens love it.
But meanwhile all of 'us bastards', republicans, democrats, independents, all suffer the consequences.

Jobless rate hits 8.1% in February as a record-high 12.5 million people are unemployed.
(If there's another party in front of the Lincoln Memorial more people will be able to attend.)

- - - - - - - -
Increase unemployment benefits... that will certainly jump start job creation.
(People will beat the streets for jobs rather than get paid free money to stay home.)
In reality? People say, "Why should I work when I'm getting unemployment increases? I make $12.00 an hour on unemployment, I'm not gonna take a $9.00 per hour job... let some illegal immigrant do it."
Hard to argue with that logic, huh?

Labor experts say that after landing a new job, workers can expect lower pay because the downturn doesn't show signs of turning around.
- - - - - - - - - - -
What will create jobs in the USA?
Providing incentive to BUSINESS OWNERS to make more money (NOT the employees). Hershey just moved its operations to Mexico. Why? Americans want lower costs for products - if Hershey costs more than 'generic', people buy generic. Wal-Mart profits are UP in today's "Down economy". Why? Americans want lower costs for products.
Americans want high wages and good benefits, but Americans want to pay higher prices for high wage and good benefit made products.
I believe there will come a time, again, where a business owner hires an employee at a stated wage, and the employee works for the business owner. This encourages business ownership, and thus encourages job creation.
Our country was built on small business creation.

^ correction ^

It's inevitable that we're all in this together and regardless of how you've conducted yourself in the past......you're gonna pay....

(Greedy & selfish... it is a national conspiracy... from the bottom up.)
To the person who makes less than each of us, we are all greedy & selfish.

I agree...I read somewhere, can't recall where, that companies are fighting harder to not have to pay benefits, and they keep denying benefits to former employees- a lot of companies (A LOT)hire other companies specifically to fight unemployment apps- surprise...not to mention the fact that when unemployed stats are posted, it doesn't count anyone who isn't receiving unemployment- and that's a substantial number of unemployed...

The state came back to me for his unemployment compensation because my company was the most previous employer that had him as a full time permanent employee. (The company he quit me and went to work never had him on the books as a permanent employee.)
I fought this ridiculous battle with the state, and I won, but only after I threatened to shut my company down completely before I'd pay unemployment for someone who voluntarily and willing QUIT working.
I told the state I would NEVER pay money to someone for NOT working.
We each have our own opinions, no right or wrong, but I think unemployment is a 'give away money' program so people can go into debt and not have to worry about losing their jobs and/or worry about paying their bills. Another free money program.
(Incidentally - I have never hired another 'full time permanent employee' since then... everyone who works for me are all 'temps' and 'contractors' now. Just like the business owner.)
No right or wrong, just differing views.

Robbi - definitely positive news, definitely a good thing.
The DOW jumped 379 points and remains at 6,926.49, down from a high of 14,100.
But... any ray of sunshine on a cloudy day is certainly welcome!

heh heh heh!

(Nope not me, stalker40... I mean swamper40... lol.
)

Um.... right. I think the White House mortgage is paid up so he has few worries.

) My 'first 100 days' observation to this point:
I think Obama is a brilliant Harvard law school graduate... but when it comes to business and economics he'd better study up.

If I couldn't get this all out of my system here in Mingles I'd probably piss off a customer or someone in real life. I'm not sure if I am pessimistic or cautiously optimistic, admittedly maybe both at different times.
We, as a nation, have indeed come back stronger each time. I was asking someone today though where they think the upper-lower class and the lower-middle class people are going to work? The factories and production shops are almost all gone.
Unskilled labor is a tough employ right now and I guess I am somewhat pessimistic about it's return to the USA. Too many laws, regulations, and reasons NOT to hire people.
Again, thanks for listening, just my opinion, not worth a dime.

Hillary Clinton said she was 'misled' regarding the Iraq War. She claimed she would not have authorized the war if she knew the real story.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Is there a pattern emerging here?
Hey man, I was misled!

man if i couldnt post my thoughts in here i can only imaging how many people id piss off

Not that it matters now......Obama needs to make good on his campaign promises now and get us out of there........
And.....TREAT the troops coming home for their various illnesses.......

A New York state senator didn't check and double check her facts before authorizing the invasion of a country and the killing of thousands of people?
Tell the police after you buy stolen merchandise that you were 'misled'. Kill some unarmed harmless drunk who mistakenly stumbles into your house, because you were 'misled' into thinking they were there to kill you first.
These pathetic excuses don't work in society, and people have to be pretty f*cking dumb to accept the same excuses from elected officials.
Hillary is a conniving kunt that has gained the sympathy of stupid people.
She was 'misled'... who's fault is that? Hers.
Face this fact: Hillary Clinton was W-R-O-N-G and she can't admit it.
(Robbi is correct - none of it matters now. Bring the troops home.)

"Kill some unarmed harmless drunk who mistakenly stumbles into your house, because you were 'misled' into thinking they were there to kill you first." -tck_beachbum
Tck, in some states you might just get away with it.
Bottom line, though, is that the president is the face of the administration. The guy that signs up for the job better be ready to take the heat.... Its happening with Obama even though I haven't heard him whining about being "misled" about half his cabinet's tax problems. And tck, you're right.... whether she was truly misled or not, she shouldn't be giving that as an excuse if she has her eyes on a position like the presidency.... if ya ever become president, ya better be ready to take a lot of heat because no matter who in your administration does what, youre the one the people are going to see.

Dumbo Ears and his administration decided they knew what was best for the country, without consideration from any critique, and they gave away over $700 billion.
Obama determined that since some companies had mis-managed their cash, these same companies wouldn't mis-manage more cash if it were made available (brilliant).
So the companies mis-managed the free cash too (surprise, surprise).
So rather than simply realize, "Hey, we made a mistake, maybe we don't know everything there is to know about everything...", Obama and his cronies stuck their heads back up their butts and came up with this 90% penalty tax scheme to get back the money THEY GAVE AWAY.
Fast forward to today - Obama and his cronies are backing off of the 90% penalty tax idea they thought was such a genius move... because they realize now after talking to experts in that field, that it is DUMBER THAN HELL.
When will Obama begin to realize the error in thinking he is the expert on everything?
Think, plan, think, consult, plan... then act.
Obama - quit pulling plans of action out of your ass! Don't announce retard ideas until you have used the resources available to EVALUATE THESE IDEAS FIRST.
(No offense to anyone except President Dumbo Ears.
)

Oh and on the 90% tax idea being dumber than hell? F**k yeah, it is....... socialism at its finest. Now im not at all for big companies paying out million dollar "tips" while collecting welfare checks but there has to be another way of dealing with it. But even then, it was $160M in bonuses out of $170B in money given to them, less than 0.1%, so why the big deal? Because the news networks need a story to tell in order to keep YOUR eyes glued to the screen to watch all those commericals they play all around it.

(Reuters) FedEx Corp is threatening to cancel the purchase of billions of dollars worth of new Boeing Co cargo planes if Congress passes a law that would make it easier for unions to organize at the package-delivery company, the Wall Street Journal said.
FedEx may cancel plans to buy as many as 30 new Boeing planes should Congress pass a bill that would remove truck drivers, couriers and other employees at FedEx's Express unit from the jurisdiction of the federal Railway Labor Act of 1926, the paper cited the company spokesman as saying.
In January, FedEx said its express unit exercised options to buy 15 more Boeing 777 freighters, worth $3.75 billion at list prices.
However, the company deferred delivery of some of the planes as the U.S. economy faces a bleak outlook.
FedEx's actions raise the stakes in an increasingly bitter battle involving chief rival, United Parcel Service Inc, and the Teamsters union, which has been trying for years to organize at FedEx, the Journal said.
FedEx and Boeing could not be immediately reached for comment by Reuters.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Yet another company choosing no growth over possible unionization.
Unions = bad for everyone except the union members. Horrible for the economy.
Teamsters Union = legal terrorism.

I like this line of thought to help turn the economy around:
If the Federal Government gets too controlling don't give the Federal Government their tax revenue.
F*ck the Fed...!!!

Suddenly there is enough money for every cause... wars, bailouts, federal programs.
Money here, money there, money everywhere!

Interesting thought.

President will convene his first Cabinet meeting this morning and order his department chiefs to immediately cut a combined $100 million from their budgets.
FOXNews.com
Monday, April 20, 2009
In what amounts to a scene out of Hollywood's version of executive power, President Obama will convene his first Cabinet meeting this morning and order his department chiefs to immediately cut a combined $100 million from their budgets.
Like the main character in the fantasy "Dave," Obama appears to be trying to work the nation's books, though the $100 million figure amounts to a drop in the $3.5 trillion bucket given preliminary approval earlier this month by Congress.
And, it does little to erase the more than $1.2 trillion deficit that has become the rallying cry of fiscal conservatives.
Obama will be asking each department and agency chief for specific proposals for trimming their budgets. He says families are having to make tough financial decisions and need to know the government is spending their money wisely, too.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Obama rewards his rich friends in banking with a $787 billion spending bill, and now he wants to look like a concerned individual saving $100 million?
Barack (or should we call you Dopey?)... go get the money back that you already wasted, lol!
Obamacide!

AIG and GM are among the bailed-out giants who spent about $9.5 million to lobby feds during last 3 months.
- - - - - - - - - - -
Obama gives away $787 billion of taxpayer money and some politicians get it back in their own pockets!
They will recover, LOL.

(There went the Chrysler bailout money down the drain.)

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sorry - I spoke too soon.
Your bailout dollars will go to provide the workers full pay for no work.
(Too bad you don't work for Chrysler huh? No work, full pay... sucker!)

Be prepared to pay for their salaries, benefits, and retirement.
(They are going to 'recover' without ever even going below where they are.)

By Roger Runningen and Hans Nichols
May 14 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending "unsustainable", warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.
"We cant keep on just borrowing from China," Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. "We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our childrens future with more and more debt."
Holders of U.S. debt will eventually "get tired" of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. "It will have a dampening effect on our economy."
The president pledged to work with Congress to shore up entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare and said he was confident that the House and Senate would pass health-care overhaul bills by August.
- - - - - - - -
Wow! Really? The gov can't keep spending money it doesn't have? Hmmmmm... complex.
Good thing the genius Obama is forewarning us of this revolutionary deep 'vision'.
(You know, like before the gov blows $787 billion for instance, lol.
)
Our new Messiah must be one smart mo-fo to figure that out complex financial stuff.
(Economics 101, revisited for dumbasses.)
Welp... you can't say Obama didn't warn us about him spending too much, lol.
(Messiah's next month speech... "I told you people not to let me spend all of that money we didn't have, but you folks didn't listen, and now at the huge financial problem I have inherited. Damn those republicans anyhow."

If everyone working at the business knows it is in their best interest to produce efficiently, and support the business - both management and workers - it may lead to a unified mindset toward doing what is in the best interest of the overall business rather than simply a primary focus on personal gain (as is surely the case right now).
It could get interesting.
I do not believe we will ever 'recover' to the former ways, but the USA could 'recover' into a more efficient economy overall.
Let's hope it happens!

For instance, my old software company went totally net in 1996, that grew into 12 or so new revenue streams, and now I launched a totally new net based company and the first clients to jump on board, were some of my old software clients from over 20 years ago.
I've been involved in computerizing businesses for almost 30 years PRE PC days, and I've owned many none tech companies years ago as an investor, for over 20 years I've been totally tech and or net.
Most of my net companies were old world businesses I would have never gotten into, but since I knew how to create those businesses totally online I did them.
Like my film company, I would have never gotten into owning an Indy Film company, had I not had all the content for my Indy Documentaries already on-line on some paysites I have. As soon as I launched full screen movies of my recycled internet content, the largest film studio in Canada made a play to buy me out.
Same with my book company, I would never had gotten into publishing books, had it not been for the net and being able to do 'ebooks'.
Anyway, the old world businesses have been trying to catch up with new media guys, so if you've been into tech and new media you are making a fortune and have been for years.
So that's where 'the jobs are' and most of the new investment money for businesses that are trying to stay relevant.
The new thing is, the net is becoming nothing but a big video commercial, so all that work creating web sites is irrelevant today, your business better have video content or you won't have any position on search engines now that companies like Google OWN youtube.
So, the people in the know are doing exactly what I'm doing, taking old clients from the old world business models and showing them they have to not only have a web site today, but you better have video content.
So, you don't have a job or you're busting you butt, learn VIDEO EDITING, that is the new high growth area that every business will soon have to have a video editor in house to stay relevant.
Junior video editors make 100K easy. My 11 year old already makes his own movies for youtube, I'm about to hire him soon and pay him 100K to help my company produce some of the videos we do. I'm not kidding. It's so simple an 11 year old can do video editing, yet, it's a high growth field that most tech people have no clue as how to do it.
I never even showed my son how to do it, he sees me doing films on high end video programs, and he's had a computer since 3, I give him no input as to tech, I buy him the games he wants basically.
Yet, Microsoft puts Movie Maker on all PC's now and the kid reads already on a college level, so he opens Movie Maker and calls me, hey dad, check out my youtube movie page.
So I have a talk with my ex, look, I DID NOT DO THIS, he learned Movie Maker on his own, so he likes video editing, it's time he get a real editing program and learn a few simple tricks to be on the level of the pros.
So his 11th birthday he got all new hardware and the software to literally become a film editor for my company IF HE WANTS TO DO THAT with his life.
Sure he got all the other junk he wanted to.
Now he wants a new HD video camera, my old video cameras I gave him to play with aren't good enough, he understands HD is the real deal.
So, if you stay current on what's hot in TECH, you have a job and I myself, started a whole new company just to handle all the video work I have transforming old world businesses to be relevant in today's world.
You have to stay up to date or you get passed by.
Most of America is out of date with their tech abilities and most will be left behind.
Yet, some very young kids are already learning the skills they will need to be relevant in tomorrows business world.
What recession or depression?
I don't see it, I started a new tech company and I have like 50 new offices on my board for the next few years. I have a possible IPO for it, or maybe a deal with a major public company to buy out the business model I just created.
So for me, THERE IS NOTHING BUT GROWTH AND OPPORTUNITY, you adapt and stay lean, you can be part of this new media and new tech world.
You want to do one thing for 40 years, forget it, you have to recreate yourself every 5 years now.
Anyway, I never had a 'down time' I've been creating new opportunities for myself for years. You stay in one field doing one thing, you will be like a 10 year old suit in a few years. OUT OF DATE.
Yet, if you have intelligence and the desire to stay current, you adapt and opportunity is all over the place.
25 years ago I had a few NICHE software programs I created, they made a fortune, but it came and went, 'niche market programs', then the net came, you started doing this and that to put companies on the net, then you started doing something else as technology changed, now it's all about VIDEO CONTENT, so now EVERY BUSINESS is a potential client for me and 25 years ago, I could only sell my services to a few industries, so technology and staying current made me have more and more opportunity.
There is NO RECOVERY for old world businesses, unless you adapt and learn to be RELEVANT today.
Every industry now has to deal with incorporating the net into their business, even if it's just having a simple business identity video so you show up when someone under 40 uses google instead of the yellow pages for any type of business search.
You adapt and learn new skills you have a lot of work, you actually do it yourself, and own your own company, then you have the chance to make a lot real fast and retire, just don't put your money into old world companies in stock or into old world assets like real estate.
You have a business, you better have a video on youtube that is networked into facebook and myspace, etc.
It better be on the front door of your website.
Then Google will put on the relevancy index and you will get business from sites like google.
If you don't, then you will not 'recover' and you will be irrelevant and out of business before you know it.
So, business is alive and well for those that keep adapting.
If you stop changing your company, YOU DIE FAST.
That's my take.
Every month I have more clients than the month before.
So if you are positioned to have what businesses NEED, you don't hit slow spots.
You keep the same old thing, you hit slow downs.
The economy is fine for me. As long as there are businesses, I'll have something to sell them.
That's the beauty of the cutting edge of technology, you always have something new to sell.

...and that's the beauty of bullshit. There will always be more and more places to go, and more and more opportunities to sling it.

I agree that people can't expect to do the same thing for 40 years anymore.
Neither can businesses - the 'window of opportunity' doesn't remain open (profitable) that long anymore.
Sadly, it is pathetic how many people over the age of 40 are 'anti' computer & internet and they refuse to learn/adopt the new technology. I see it a lot in my area. Then when someone loses their job they finally realize computer skills are critical in today's world and they want to take a 'crash course'. I am seeing a HUGE market for one-on-one teaching.
Changing times... exciting times...

When you deal in 'bullshit', you can't go back to the client.
My clients consistently tell my potential clients, THE BEST THING THEY DID FOR THEIR BUSINESS WAS HOOKING UP WITH MY COMPANY.
Tech is not bullshit, it either does what it is supposed to do, or it doesn't.
When you survive for 'decades' in Tech, you're not peddling bullshit.
As technology advances, you can create new applications that the hardware could not support years ago.
Since I'm a 2nd generation programmer with over 35 years of tech experience I've seen a lot, and I also heard from my own father a lot of what he was involved in, so, my knowledge spans the genesis of the whole computer age, from the 50's and 60's from my father and from the early 70's my own first hand experience creating applications.
You want to call that bullshit, whatever, the bottom line is, if you are involved in the creation of new tech applications for businesses, you do well, that was my core business for years, then I used tech to create new versions of old businesses for years, not I'm once again on the leading edge of creating a whole new tech industry.
The only problem I have, is finding really 'qualified' people, most people do not have the skill sets to work for me, they either have too little 'knowledge' or they're too lazy.
When I tell someone in my company they can do X, I know they can, because I did the same thing to learn what an employee can really do, and what I tell them to do, is normally less than 50% of the production I could do the first time I tried the task.
The bottom-line is, PEOPLE ARE LAZY and most are totally uninformed and incapable of doing the jobs they have.
Just like in 'sales' in my tech companies, you consistently have 10% of the force doing 90% or more of the business.
What's wrong with the other 90% of the team?
They're full of excuses and bullshit. The ones that can perform the job have taken the time to learn the product and they understand the competition and know how to handle objections.
Yet, I'm sure you're gonna say 10% that are the producers are the bullshitters instead of the 90% who can't sell are the dregs of society and the losers.
Face it, the 90% are the 'normal' humans, the losers, that never accomplish much with their lives.
The 10% that produce are the A+ personalities that are DOERS.
When I open new offices, I hire groups of ten new reps every week, just to weed out the 90% losers I don't want wasting my time and resources.
So, some say you can't work for me.
Yet, the producers say I'm the greatest person in the world to work for.
I see bullshit all day, I'm in a high growth period growing my newest company, within a year I'll have 10 offices in 10 major markets and I either sell the model to google or yahoo for X billion or I do an IPO and the company grows to 100 or so offices in a couple of years and the stock will enable my company to buy google or yahoo.
I had one partner in my life, a major executive of a fortune 500 company.
I explained a simple business project to him, he asked a few questions and I gave him the answers.
After my presentation, he gave me literally a blank check.
Whatever I wanted.
His own words, "I've been on the boards of public companies for years, I know you're young (I was 22), but you're the most prepared person I ever met in a presentation of a new idea. You will make this happen, and if you don't, no one can."
The bottom-line is, you live in a world of opportunity, you were brain washed by your institutions to be a loser, to work for a corporation and be a cog in the wheel.
So few have 'original thoughts' or 'original ideas' that's why they hit an obstacle like 90% of a sales team does and they quit.
You make and take your success in life. You sit around saying this and that is whatever, you end up 65 and on social security and eating cat food.
Now, I'll be the first to tell you MONEY MEANS NOTHING, but, in business, MONEY is how you keep score.
Business is a GAME, you win or lose.
Now, most people have 'careers', they 'think'.
The truth is, almost no one today does their job the way they did it 10 years ago, or 20 years ago or 30 years ago.
So if you didn't adapt, you would have been unemployed years ago.
I don't care if you went to school to be a doctor or a lawyer or whatever, your 'job' or 'career' is radically different today then it was years ago.
You live in a technological world, you have robots creating most of the technology you use today, very little human 'work' goes into today's products. The human need was to design the original project, now they have machines that even do that.
So what is going on in the world, is 99% of humanity has become OBSOLETE.
You need some global wars to reduce the populations to under 500 Million or so.
That's what's coming, most of humanity is not needed in this technological age.
However, if mankind gets over the way he was bred to exist and radically changes his view on life and work, then mankind may soon adapt to a world where almost no one 'works'.
Farms now produce with a few people and lots of machines amounts of food it would have taken armies of workers to produce.
Same with technology, robotic factories now produce most of what you use.
So humans are needed less and less to 'produce' goods and services.
What will most of humanity do when they start to automatic McDonalds? Even those mindless jobs will be gone.
The fact is, most you are not 'needed' in the company you work for. You're dead weight and don't produce much your company needs.
Are you designing something 'new'? Are you doing 10 times in sales what your company is paying you? What do you do?
Oh, you're a cop and you need CRIMINALS to keep your job, so you see CRIME where there is none.
Oh, you're a fire fighter, you think a modern world 'needs' you?
A properly designed building has all the equipment to put out any fire there is.
Oh, you're a 'teacher', what you're 'teaching' you kids is totally irrelevant in a modern tech world.
So why do you need 6 Billion + Humanoids walking around the planet destroying the biosphere?
Answer
YOU DON'T NEED 6 Billion people.
And most of them don't want to spend all their time contemplating something of importance that might benefit humanity as a whole.
So, when is the next global world war?
It's going to be a major event and very little will survive.
Then there will be great opportunity as mankind rebuilds from this world he created.
Mankind invented a techno paradise where most of humanity became totally irrelevant and worthless.
So a global war destroys most of mankind and his technology and the game begins all over.
Face it, 99.9% of humanity does nothing mankind truly needs.
You need food, water and shelter.
Other than that, it's all BS.
Who wants only food, water and shelter?
No one.
So most have to be erased, so humanity can relearn the important things.
Survival.
Now that was a nice lengthy piece of BULLSHIT.
hahaha

If someone says something you don't believe, debate it, but no insult posts in this thread.
Keep it constructive. Thanks.

Some
I'm a little older than Obama, he's the 'blackberry' prez.
Almost 50 like me.
In the early 60's I played around MAINFRAMES, my father was a pioneer of the industry.
I started 'programming' around 1973.
My first company went head to head with Gates in the later 70's, I always kicked his ass.
hahaha
Did you know HE STOLE MS DOS?
Look up Q DOS
That was the O/S he stole.
Now that story is very 'hidden' that the richest man on earth is a THIEF.
Pre PC, you had companies like my first one, we would create 'custom' applications for mid sized businesses using MINI's.
Then the fact that Gates STOLE QDOS and couldn't 'sell' it allowed the whole PC clone industry to take off. Had Gates actually invented MS DOS, he would have SOLD it to IBM, but he was a hired gun, hired by IBM to STEAL Q DOS so the could then 'license' what he STOLE to IBM.
That's what BUSINESS is, a GAME, lawyers using loopholes to protect the corporate thieves that go PUBLIC.
Now, there's a lot of 45 to 55 years old who are major techies, how old is gates? a few years older than me.
How old is Obama (who isn't really a 'techie') a year younger than me, yet Obama is the poster boy for 50 year olds using new tech.
I myself took a hiatus for 4 years, before I launched my newest company, my older companies ran themselves, completely automated, over 300 websites selling my 'creations', software, books, films, music, whatever.
Let's see 4 years ago, no youtube, yet, I had a company doing FULL SCREEN HD MOVIES, that I created.
Now youtube, a crappy video platform is all the rage.
It's a joke.
A terrible video platform if you know anything about real video.
So now I'm back from my 'recharge' period, my kids are getting older, so most of the past decade I spent being with them.
I made my companies so I could run them from my office at home when my sons were born.
Kinda dropped out of the whole corporate world.
You don't need people to even sell your software now, when you have instant distribution platform like the net.
Now you can put a winner pitch into a video, and you sell your stuff online with no loser sales reps making excuses all day.
So I went from tons of employees in the 80's to ZERO by 1999.
100% automated.
Now I need something, I contract it out to people that PRODUCE X dollars per project, that is what 'software' has become.
You either create it yourself, or with a few brains or you job it out to India or China for almost nothing.
Anyway, once my kids were born I started writing my books and they became films (6 of them) and I did the music for the tracks. So I went into my 'artistic' phase.
Waiting for the net to mature for my next venture with employees.
When you sell software for 10K to a business you need sales people, most of the time.
However, niche market software got real cheap and companies no longer want to pay 10K for quality software, they would rather buy crap from gates that is obsolete as soon as open the box.
Literally I have software from the mid 80's that runs on the latest O/S.
Yet all the programs I spent thousands on the past decade that I didn't create, can't run on the BS gates is putting out.
And most software companies never even released versions to actually WORK on gates 64 bit joke vista.
How many of you have a full 64 bit version of Vista running?
You see how few programs work on it and how many companies refuse to support it?
The whole software industry is upside down right now with major compatibility problems.
I'm glad I left it in 1996.
When I decided to have kids and write some books. Before you know it I had over 50 books and 6 films and 300 web sites selling it.
hahaha
So I took off a few years.
Now I'm back.
And I got a HOT NEW B2B product and offices are popping up all over the place and once again I have the same old problems.
10% of the force does 90% of the business.
Do I tolerate the 90% who are losers?
NO
I FIRE THEM
Every week it's clean house time.
Most are young, yet I have some older guys, guys with iPhones and Laptops.
25 years ago I had to give 10K tool box shaped prelaptops to my sales reps to show our product. Anyone that knows about 'portable computers' you know what I'm talking about, the first generation were 10K and they were not laptops, TOOL BOXES they looked like.
So 25 years ago, I gave you a company car, put a toolbox portable computer in the trunk and handed you 30 leads a week.
90% of the losers came back with nothing
10% came back with all the business.
Why?
That's humanity, 10% is A+ personality, the doers, that get stuff done, the rest are dregs of society.
Anyway, now I'm hiring again, first question.
You have an iPhone or a laptop?
You'd be shocked how many so-called b2b salesman say no.
hahaha
How can you be a b2b person today with no iPhone or laptop.
What do they need that for.
My sales pitch is all video, you show clients the pitch on an iphone or laptop.
Then you do 'the close', the same old carrot/obstacle BS you have used in b2b to close deals TODAY for years.
So, unlike the few people who are pioneering a similar version of what I'm doing but who are not 10% as good as my product, I'm actually using old school marketing to get great market share, since my target customers are all the business who have no real clue as to HOW to use all this new technology to benefit their business.
You all heard of yellow pages right?
Well, they're a huge company spun off from Ma Bell days.
They kinda do what I'm doing, but apples to apples, they have a skateboard and I have a warp drive space ship.
Sure we do the same thing 'kinda' until you start to compare apples to apples.
There's another company also trying to do it, they copied Yellow Pages and they use old school TM (telemarketing) to try to find business clients.
Yet what they're doing is unethical, and when I find their clients I expose what they did to their clients and their clients get mad.
How would you like to be a business and find out the 'video' a company did for you is the same video all of your competition has?
You'd be pissed right?
Yet that is what a major company in my new industry is doing.
Me, I produced videos in house for my content sites for over 10 years, we had so much of it, I bundled it and pressed it into DVD documentaries, and before you know it, I had the largest film company in Canada trying to buy up my catalog of niche market documentaries or 'films'.
I'm a software company businessman that got into the net to 'retire' and created some really heavy traffic sites with stuff about topics I'm interested in.
Now I'm back doing 'business' since my sons are pretty much old enough to be their own persons now, they don't need full time mentoring, once you hit 10, you know what's up, you don't need someone hanging around you to make sure you don't do stupid stuff, like kill your brother.
hahaha
Anyway, so now I look around, what am I going to do now that I can devote time to my business life again.
Let's see I own hundreds of undeveloped major GEO domains, I got them years ago to do email portals one day, email is a dead horse, it's done, so what can I do with all these million dollar undeveloped GEO domain names?
VIDEO PORTALS
Now I have reps getting top dollar using IPHONES to show off my
a. studio level video work
b. complete SEO domination of YouTube and google and yahoo
I wrote some of the first books on SEO over 10 years ago
NOTHING CHANGED
I put anything I want on top of anything I want
Just like the media wrote about me doing it in the 1990's
Let's see, when all these pub

I'd like to keep this thread on the topic, if you will, thanks.

Thanks.

Taxpayers are on the hook for an extra $55,000 a household to cover rising federal commitments made just in the past year for retirement benefits, the national debt and other government promises, a USA TODAY analysis shows.
- - - - - - - -
Everyone chip in $55,000 now to 'stimulate' the 'recovery', lol.

300 Million people in the USA
So that's 10K a PERSON
3 1/3 Dollars a person gets you 1 Billion
3,333 gets you 1 Trillion
3 Trillion = 10K per person
That's old retired people, wage earners and kids
So that's just the NEW DEBT
The USA is bankrupt, all your assets are worthless, yet, you can still make a ton of money in the world, if you are part of the new economy
If you keep assets like real estate or stocks, you will be wiped out
You have to be liquid today, and if you have a business, it better be lean and able to adapt
If you work for someone, you don't have a chance inside the USA to survive financially and you sure won't have anything if you play the markets or invest in real estate
Yet, if you can find a little 'niche' in business, and become self reliant by actually creating something, you'll be able to trade your services and or goods, but most will not want the worthless paper being issued by world governments
Get CASH and buy lots of RAW LAND far from major urban areas
That's what's coming
Chaos in old world cities and the survivors live in remote areas
Yet, you have a few more years before complete chaos hits the world, it's only hitting financial markets now
When the first tactical nukes start popping in major urban areas, be they set off by terrorists or governments on their own people, then the final melt down is here
You don't have raw land and know how to grow food you don't survive
One small nuke in an urban area will crash what's left of banks and markets and make all real estate in any urban area worthless
That's what's coming
Yet, for a short time, you can still make a lot of money, and the only thing I see value in is LAND far from any urban centers
That, and technology to survive in remote areas
Solar powered this and that
Satellite phones
So if you can be remote and have solar power, you can microwave some popcorn (from your supplies) and watch the show
This period was written about for years
Now you're stuck IN IT
Complete breakdown of all the false institutions
I sold all my stocks and real estate in early 2007
Now I'm waiting for the BOTTOM to snap up tons of RAW LAND
Mountains of Canada and Brazil are the only areas I'm interested in
Sure, I run a business still, and it's FOR SALE, google or yahoo will soon buy me or I'll do a fast IPO and cash out
Then I retire and watch the world melt down
You can't dig out of this whole
You need a fresh start and the only way is for the governments to let loose a bunch of nukes to erase 99% of the population that does nothing anyway

Like it is someone else's fault that people spent more money than they had, people felt that their jobs were guaranteed forever, and people felt they "owned" their homes which were CLEARLY owned by the bank?
I'd be embarrassed to write a song like that which depicts Americans like whining, crying babies.
Men need to learn how to stand up and be MEN.
People need to quit f*cking crying about how the world owes them a living.
We're not all a nation of helpless babies!

I don't know if adoni is telling the truth or not, and there's no way for you to know either, but it's all harmless and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Please understand that I don't feel it is necessary to ridicule and/or belittle him.
I don't wish to be a part of ridiculing and/or belittling people. Thanks!

If you're everything you say you are there's no need for juvenile name calling.

This is not rocket science - everything Obama does to increase taxes and regulations on businesses will simply drive the businesses to a friendlier business environment country.
Notice how he backed WAAYYYY off the 'windfall profits tax' on the rich oil companies?
One of his college freshman Economics 101 advisors informed him of how braindead that idea was.

The president does not appear to be concerned. But then... he's got his wealth & benefits.

True or false?

Recovery? Right.

Obama has no clue about money, he thinks $$ grow abundantly on the government money tree.
Some select individuals and companies are gleefully milking Obama's stupidity for all it is worth.
What a dumb son of bitch.
Worst part - Obama won't admit he is financially clueless. He's letting us get robbed.

I know! I know!
Obama should declare, with no input and/or knowledge on the subject, that spending $787 billion dollars will create jobs, simply because he says so. And then the $787 billion should be spent (unwisely) without waiting for the provisions to be read by anyone voting on it, because Obama declares from upon high that this is the answer.
Obama... um... maybe that wasn't such a good idea?

The republican politicians do what they can to annoy the democrats, and the republican voters love it.
The entire nation loses as a result.
At some point the voters, the people, need to realize it isn't all about republicans vs democrats and vice-versa.
ALL politicians need to focus on the good of our nation, and it isn't happening.

Having created the housing disaster by letting the "poor" or financially incapable people to own a house is insane -such as the way Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac did. Of course, the politicians have a lot of power to make a mess with our economy after all they're mostly lawyers (no insult intended). And people (no insult intended again) still vote for these corrupt, incapable politicians!
I don't agree in using taxpayers' money to bail out institutions, companies and individuals facing financial difficulties, especially those CEOs receiving millions, if not billions of dollars in benefits and salaries, and holding entertainment activities that costing investors millions of money, not to mention using private jet planes to go to Washington, D.C. to air out their financial grievances.
I also have no belief in giving financial aids to other countries, especially countries that hate the U.S. I feel we should fix the problem in our home first before we help our neighbors. Sorry, not being greedy. But there are other means to help.
I also believe funneling money into war is a total waste of taxpayers' money. I do support our troops and admire their courage and strength to be at war and defend this country. A country becomes progressive when not at war.
Unfortunately, there are 3 types of individuals -one that destroys, and one that creates and one that do nothing.

From usatoday.com:
Our view on retirement benefits: Public-employee pensions put cities, states in tight squeeze - Unaffordable political promises burden state and local taxpayers.
As Americans slaving away at private-sector jobs have watched their 401(k) retirement accounts pulled down about one-third by the stock market, they might have found some comfort in thinking everyone's in the same boat. The comfort is not only small; it's false: More than 80% of state and city government workers are guaranteed a pre-set, generous pension, and most also can retire early.
Such "defined benefit" pensions generally went out of style in private business and the federal government in the 1980s because of their cost. They're a main reason why cities and counties across the country are in dire financial straits. Vallejo, Calif., filed for bankruptcy protection last year. El Monte, Calif., narrowly avoided it June 30. Others are considering it. In New York City, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said last month that the pension system is "out of control."
- - - - - - - - - - -
Public employees retire in their 50's with pay and benefits FOREVER... no matter what the economy does, no matter what the stock market does, no matter if you can afford to pay their pension or not.
They get theirs no matter what.

Obama said that the jobs are coming back, and the people cheered.
Are these people so blind to realize that not one (1) single job has come back so far, and, do they think people are really going to start buying large scale RV's soon..?
It is truly scary the way some Americans believe this country is destined to be economically strong forever no matter what.

Education, training, and learning to work 'smart' are the keys to finding employment these days.
No matter what Obama tells you, he's lying to you.

Watch for some kind of citizen uprising soon, demanding progress from Obama, instead of just watching him jet-set around the world pretending to be important, and cheering the jerk on like he is their savior.

Recovery is even more unlikely.
