Please fix the chat room - this is getting annoying now. The rooms are splitting as people refresh or come in - theres no telling how many rooms that have just a few people in them while others are in other rooms without the ability to join together. I was flung out of one into another in mid sentence - both rooms had different people in them - then when we leave the room and return - we return to a completely different one. Not to mention, the system keeps disconnecting folks about every 10 minutes.

Mr Mingles... PLEASE HELP!!! Chat is messed up royally and its getting rather annoying as Pam said. I got booted from chat tonight and given some message about not being authorized and I had to log in again.

At some point new rooms are created when there are established chat rooms running. Last night we were in a room that had 15 people. The new sign ins could not get into the room we were in - they were automatically assigned a new room. I opened up a new browser and signed in to see what would happen and although I remained in the room with 15 - I was then put in the room with 6 others that were the recent sign ins. But it didnt stop there - I opened a 3rd browswer to see if there were other rooms and sure enough I was signed into a 3rd room with a few different folks in that one. My cam worked in room one with the group of 15 - my audio worked in room 2 with the group of 6 and I could type in all 3 rooms. There is no telling how many split off rooms are running at once. The thing I see is that once a new room is created regardless if there are only 6 folks in the existing room - others cannot get into the already established room. Folks in the established room have to refresh or sign out and back in in order to join the new sign ins in the newest created room - repeated non stop. This is ANNOYING for sure! And being booted every 5 - 10 minutes adds to the frustrations because folks are landing in rooms by themselves when they return.

While the system is broken, would you like to share a room with me some evening?

Actually, i think the important part is that's being left out is that it's not that the system is merely putting people from the Mingles Lobby (Default room) into mainstreet or to other visible rooms, after they 'overflow' with 20 people. It's that the system is CREATING a room - ANOTHER 'Mingles Lobby' that is actually invisible and unbeknownst to everyone involved. There can be 6 people in Mingles chat, separated by 3 different rooms, 2-per-room, and ALL unsware that the other rooms exist. The only way we discovered it was by accident when someone said "How come you weren't in Mingles last night?" and they get "Um ... I WAS, u dork!" ... and it went from there...

They have been loosely referred to as 'ghost rooms'... appearing & disappearing almost like a supernatural phenomenon.

No telling the number of dating & mating opportunities that may be lost due to the 'two ships passing in the night' effect.

perhaps it's "double-browsing" that's causing the issue

I have no idea what the issue is. I opened another browser trying to verify that others were actually in Mingles chat that were saying they were and saying that I wasnt. It took communications using Yahoo/MSN to learn this. We ALL have figured out that as soon as the system starts disconnecting and reconnecting someone in that particular room that a new room is being created. As soon as a new room is created everyone that signs on from that point on are directed to that room and all those who are in the previous room remain there and this is repeated about every 20 minutes or less. So the second group think they are the latest group created but they are not. A third and so forth is created. Once a refresh occurs one is sent into the most recent room that is existing but it will be outdated about 20 minutes later AND NO ONE KNOWS IT. The all think they are in the only room that is existing. There is no telling how many rooms are running at one given time and ALL of them are called Mingles Lobby.

True - and standing as the "GHOST ROOM" gaurd is now a new valued position in the chat room! LOL
