I see the problem... you listed your body type as 'average'.
This has to be confirmed by Mingles member Rickster, to be sure you are not really sub-average.

wow spart beat tck in here by about 2 hrs... whew... at least the FIRST 50% of the advice so far is accurate! lol
Does it upload your picture? If so, it takes time to have it approved. If it's not uploading it's because the file is too big... try to resize the jpeg to meet the max limits allowed. Hang in there!

You should be able to email anyone you want unless they've blocked you, regardless of whether your pic has posted or not. At least, you used to be able to, unless something has changed.

I receive e-mails and "winks" all the time from people who haven't had their photos approved yet. Of course they may have had them up-loaded and awaiting approval.

Your post reminded me of a note I put on the front of a snack vending machine in a defense plant I was duty stationed at which basically stated the vending machine had an optical scanner to check the height, weight, and body mass index of anybody selecting a snack. If your criteria fell out of the "attractive" parameters, the machine would only dispense a healthy snack such as a granola bar and override your Snicker Bar selection. It was good for a laugh, but unfortunately, the woman who filled the vending machines didn't find it that funny and removed my note.
