Hollywood and Television notwisthstanding, anyone who has served in uniform either in the U.S. or Canada is very aware that Canada is a sovereign nation that has paid dearly (as has the U.S.) for the freedoms that both of our nations enjoy. We might occasionally bust eachother's chops, but anyone who is in the "know" is very aware that the Canadian soldier is a warrior in every sense of the word.

If you read your history you'll know that in both World Wars the last thing the enemy wanted to hear was that the Canadians were coming into the line. That is not to take away from what other countries did. . . neither war could have been won without all of the allies. But to argue that Canadians are "cowards" or that they need the U.S. to fight for them is plain BS.

There was in WWII, a unit formed called the 1st SSF. It was made up of Canadian and American troops. The Germans gave them the nickname "The Devil's Brigade." The doctrine established by that unit was the foundation for most of the spec-ops doctrines in use today by military forces all over the world. Canada and the U.S. stood together then. . . we stand united today. If you don't like that, well its just too bad.
