My parents tend to vote repulican. I do on most occasions but not saying I wouldn't vote for a qualified democrat. I can remember when they were the conservative party. I'm not going to talk bad about our President. I can't because I really don't know anything about him. Then again, neither does 98% of our country. He never had a real job unless you call Social Organizing a real job. I assume he was good at that though. I could care less if he was black, white or green. Makes no difference to me. I still wish Condoleezza Rice would run for President. I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. I think she's smarter than anyone on capitol hill.

Am I more American than anyone else? Nope, but I feel I've earned my right to say what I believe to be true. Just as you do. I have given much to my country. In time and sweat. Also don't forget that more white people voted for Obama than any other democrat president since Carter. Isn't one of the cornerstones of a free and democratic society the concept that one has the right and the freedom to express his or her views without fear of censure from the government. Isn't it a citizen's right and perhaps his or her duty to speak up and offer his or her criticisms of what the government is or isn't doing?

I'm not an American. But I'd say that a citizen of of any democratic nation has no right to claim pride in that nation if he or she has not made his or her voice heard.

There is a cost involved in membership in the social compact. Those dues are collected in various ways. No one who has not paid those dues has a right to claim ownership in his or her nation. Making one's voice heard, even if the opinion so voiced is counter to that of others, is one way of paying those dues.

Obama's healthcare reform has to be really looked at carefully, first and foremost if all city residents had medical coverage today, there wouldnt be enough primary care doctors to treat them. In general there a insufficent number of primary-care physicians. Most physcians entering the field usually become a specialist so that they can pay off their medical school debt. People now wait weeks some months to get a appointment with their doctor or specialist. If this law is passed their will be a tidal wave of people and medcial providers will be overwhelmed . Then those who cant get appointments for months will run to the emergency room as walkin's driving up medical costs for having a cold or a asthma problem.

Also small businesses cant afford to give their employees any kind of medical, because the premimums are just way to much of a expense and alot of them will be forced to go out of business.

They are lucky they can pay their employees, never mind giving them medical.
