Ok all, we have enough goofy, strange forums on here to choke a horse, so! I figured I would start one about things that matter to us, or should matter to us, or ...whatever- I will just throw a few subjects out there, if you want to answer and give your opinion, feel free!

H1N1- the flu itself, and the vaccine- what do you guys think of this? I've been hearing a lot of things, and they sound pretty scary- such as...vaccines perhaps becoming mandatory being the scariest. Are you going to take the vaccine? What about if it becomes mandatory?

NWO- (New World Order)- this term has been popping up all over the place, what do you guys think of this? Having been raised in Assemblies of God as a kid and being a bible prophecy buff, I have heard about this my entire life, and somehow, never thought it would get to the point that it has- what do you guys think about this, any responses?

Well, if I had to take the H1N1 vaccine I would, but mostly because i'm accustomed to that from being in the Army....I've been forced to take anthrax vaccinations, we had to take these pills that supposedly voided out the effect of an NBC agent the first time we deployed (not to mention walk around in MOPP gear at 140 degree heat in the middle of the day for 5 hours), we have to take flu vaccinations yearly, so to me, my mind frame now is 'what's one more vaccine gonna hurt?' ...and I know i'm hurtin myself sayin that because everytime i take a REGULAR vaccine for the flu it's the only time i become sick as a damn dog...lol

As far as New World Order, I haven't quite seen it manifest yet, although I'm am more and more thinking that's where we've begun heading it would seem...government control over our daily lives whether we like it or not.....lol in my opinion they did that as soon as they put up surveilance satellites in orbit.

if there is a new world order is because there was an old one, older than the new one, therefore the newest must be newer than the oldest one.

I believe we are moving toward " A New World Order " , it is unfolding slowly, even tho it seems that new policies are moving fast. The ultimate goal is to create a whole new system. We are slowly being crushed and the Health Care Issue is 1 of the factors of the Agenda. JMHO , GB

Hi Mostie hope all is well with you and Cap and the kids. As for taking the H1N1 hell no, not unless its mandatory. All my years working in the medical field, i could always get the shots but never took any of them. One year when i went to my dr. for the yearly physical he said you should take the flu and pneumonia shot, cause your taking care of someone who has cancer, and you dont want to give them anything since their immunity system is very low. So I did and let me tell you i was sick as Crane puts it, as a dog. I was aching , i couldnt get out of bed, and when i did i fainted in the kitchen and fell on the damn dog fence. I dont advise anyone taking them.

As for H1N1 "swine" flu - my daughter got it this summer. Health Services (government) were notified by the hospital when the test was positive and of course we were contacted by both sources - hospital and health services to inform us of the details. She has chronic and acute asthma which was the only concern for her because she could hardly breathe when she got this strain of the flu. It hits the respiratory system and if you have a weakened one already then there is reason to watch the person closer. She was right "out of it" and in bed for about a week - just plain old flu sick in bed thing. Then when it was done - she was out of bed as fast as she landed in it. Both sources told me that the media has blown this thing way out of proportion. We were asked not to go to the doctors office or hospital if anyone else in the house got it - but to let it run its course rather than to bring it to doctors or hospitals that have folks with weakened immune systems etc (i.e. someone on chemo) They told us people who are healthy will be fine - its a type of flu like other types that come and go - just that this one hits the respiratory system and since she was asthmatic they needed to give her extra meds for that - only cause she had difficulty breathing. The thing came and went and the rest of us who were in contact with her never got it. We followed all the normal steps of hand washing and keeping our distance and her coughing into tissue etc as one would do with any flu. They told us that a second strain of it exists and to BE SURE she got the vaccination because she could pick up the second strain of it just as easy as any of us could.

well..(now dont get mad,or think me a liberal,ok)i too was initially brought up with american evangelical teachings initially,and thought they were the only normal ones,characteristic of american evangelical churches(uhmnn..baptist,pentecostal,and neo-pentecostal,and many "non-denominational churches" ) is a futuristic view of the prophetic and apocalyptic writings,pre-millianum doctrines,new world order,etc.,i was raised with all this initially,was shocked when i found out there were other views,and after years of study,now find myself more in the preterist,historical,a-millenium camp,which includes roman catholic,eastern orthodox,churchs of christ,anglican,episcopalian,lutheran,presbyterian,wesleyan,christian(disciples of christ)etc, ad infinitum,who view the prophetic writings as having already been fulfilled in Christ,and johns apocolyptic writings as more figurative,and historical as well,anyway...though the premillienial views are really the strong popular ones here in the us,the left behind books were really popular thouhg i never read them myself,i remember alot of youth reading them,even in churches that believed differently,those books seemed to help the premillienalist quite a bit,to the chagrin of priest and pastors of preterist,and historicist camps,lol.

H1N1.........oh hell no......For years in the military I ducked the yearly flu shots that were mandatory. Made me sick, although the medical "experts" claimed that was impossible. Never proven experiments, and now they have this new one that I would guess is experimental and not proven. I haven't had a flu shot since the military even though the VA people look at me crosseyed, or like I'm trying to get sick. The swine flu is nothing more than the flu with a few different symptoms. If you're not that healthy to begin with, it may take a toll, however, if generally healthy you'll be fine......kinda like a rattlesnake bite, you'll recover but maybe wish you were dead before you recover......lol.

New World Order......it's bullshit, but man's lust for power and domination keep driving it. Not sure it can be stopped. It's in prophecy and it'll happen prior to the elimination of mankind. It's God's plan and when it's time, it's time......we'll be gone....and since I had a Vasectomy, I'm probably not among the ones chosen to be left behind to repopulate.......LOL, so just me and Angelina left on the earth is probably not gonna happen......

I had never had the flu then at 42 I recieved a flu shot, was sick as hell,that was 10yrs ago never again!!!!!.......I believe in preventative care as in eating healthy , excersize and thinking in a positive manner these are the things we should be promoting. lol , don't get me started on other vaccines esp. the gardasil vac. oh what they have done to a great many of our young women!

Yes , we are coming to a great change and I believe it is a spiritual one it is in the process right now like a wave rolling across the land. Just for the record, Adam, I was raised in that particular denomination, but as I got older and started reading more, I definitely have switched over to non-denominational-churches that taught from the bible without stating that you had to believe things that maybe were/weren't in the bible. So that works for me.

Flu shots are a good thing for people who are vulnerable: the elderly, the very young or folks who already have some illness that will tend to make them prone to it. For people who are healthy I really see no need. I did take a flu shot last year because they offered them free at my office. Didn't get sick but my arm belt like it had been hit with a baseball bat.
