Yup.......the Nobel just doesn't hold the same respectability anymore......It's a shame for those in the past that were awarded it because they deserved it....!!

Indeed robbi, this thread is in no way an attempt to "dis" those who have received it in the past (or are about to) - it's the selection committee itself - or maybe the process
it it's about to be "awarded" for something that what "COULD, MIGHT, MAYBE" be done in the future
I'm with the Capn' here - I'm sending in my Pulitzer write-in ballot with HIS NAME on it for the book he could, might, maybe write in the future
(I think there's a cash prize for it - it should be payed immediately)

I think Barrack's honest response when told he'd won was "Why Me?, thanks for nothing." Its probably just another nail in his political coffin. To be fair to him, he didn't seek it. Just more expectations he won't be able to meet. Its the selection committie that is off balance for sure. Reagan ended the Cold War and brought democracy to most of Eastern Europe. Bush II liberated 50 million Muslims. And I wouldn't argue for them receiving it. Even Clinton was more deserving. And they award one to Yassar Arafat, Al Gore, and Barrack. I had no problem with Carter for his humanitarian efforts and award. The rest is political, no doubt. On a side note, Mahatma Gandhi never received one either. But Henry Kissinger did while the Viet Nam conflict was still ongoing, to those who say war is not the way to peace. The Nobel Peace Prize has been cheapened. Welcome to the NWO.

They've finally dragged this down to the ranks of Miss America.
I don't blame BO. There just seems to be some action at work to make this guy bigger than life. I'm getting a little ticked off at seeing all the crap out there with his picture teamed up with Lincoln, etc. This boy has not done a damn thing yet. Ok...maybe bring a college prof and a cop together. (Was that a dress rehearsal for mid-east talks?)
