| Grrrrrrrrrrrrr ever have a moment when you just have to vent? |
Reminder this is venting and part of it I think I just have to speak out about. My ex and I have been apart for going on 2 years. Now my children are not his biological children however at the same time he was involved in raising them. We met and became friends when my youngest wasnt even a year old and we were together for about 9 years. After he left he did not talk with the kids for several months. It hurt them greatly that he would not even call and talk to them. He just completely abandoned them. My youngest son was extremely angry with him because he had made my son the promise that he would never leave him and then a few months later he did. My youngest daughter was perhaps closest to him. She has always considered him Dad . He has sporadically called them and talked for a bit since then. But often times weeks and months go by between phone calls.
Phone calls are the only opportunity they have to talk with him as he lives in another state. Last week he called my youngest daughter and she told him about how they were going back to Minnesota for a long weekend. He told her he would really like to arrange something so he could see them He did not call or talk to me about it, just brought it up to her. But he didnt want to interfere with her seeing her biological dad. It just steams me that he would tell her this, he hasnt called in over 2 months and out of the blue makes comments to her like that.
Perhaps I am just over reacting but I dont care, it really steams me that he would do this to her. I see how much it meant to her to hear him say that he wanted to see her. My other children really dont want anything to do with him after what he did, they forgive him but have no time in their lives for him at the moment. My youngest daughter tho, she is so totally different in this regard. In her mind he is dad and always will be. I know there will be no opportunity for her to see him, they are not even going anywhere close to where he lives. But she got all excited thinking that she might be able to see him and hearing he actually wants to see her. Perhaps I am simply being over protective . . . idk do I have a right to be steamed he would do this to her? Then today she texted him Happy Fathers Day and he replied back I appreciate that. WTH!! Is that!!! We have little or no contact from him in other terms, he literally fell off the face of the earth which was his intention when he left us. So I dont understand why he is doing or saying things he has no intention of keeping does he think that it will make her feel better? Doesnt he realize that he is only hurting her more by doing and saying things like this?
